Bonnie Jean Berens of Port Washington passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Saturday August 16 2014 at Harbor Cove in Port Washington surrounded by her loving family. She was 73 years old. Bonnie was born in Milwaukee on November 28 1940 daughter of Robert Goelz and Virginia Knobla Goelz. She grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from Rufus King High School. On October 4 1963 she married David Berens at St. Aloysius Church in West Allis. Bonnie was a loving wife to David as they moved all over the country for David's job. Bonnie had a passion for decorating and decorated over 30 houses that the family lived in. She made sure that the family home was always very nurturing and full of love. Bonnie's other hobbies included bowling playing tennis ceramics and other crafts. She is survived by her husband David of Port Washington her two daughters Karen (Victor) Valiente of Clermont FL and Jill (Tim) Ridley of Bayside. She is further survived by her two grandchildren Madison and Cy her brother James (Laney) Goelz of Bayside other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents. In accordance to Bonnie's wishes private family services will be held at Pinelawn Cemetery in Milwaukee. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is honored to serve the family.
