Former Grafton resident Bonnie R. Hunstad died on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Simpson Healthcare Center, in Fort Dodge, IA. She had relocated to Fort Dodge in 2013. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Sacred Heart Church in Fort Dodge. A Graveside Committal Service for family and friends will be held at 11:15 AM on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1001 3rd Avenue Grafton, WI 53024 (corner of North St & 3rd Ave). Fr. Guy Gurath officiating. Immediately following the Graveside Service, there will be a reception held for attendees in the Church Hall at St. Francis Borgia Church-North, 1375 Covered Bridge Rd, Cedarburg, WI 53012. Bonnie was born October 15, 1946 in Fort Dodge the daughter of James and Eileen (nee Schall) Blanchet. She was raised in Gilmore City and was a graduate Gilmore City High School. She continued her education pursuits by attending and graduating from the University of Minnesota. In 1969, she was united in marriage to Stan Hunstad. The couple established their home in Grafton, WI. Stan passed away in 1987. Bonnie worked in the nursing field for 35 years, retiring from St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. She was an active member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. Survivors included; brothers, Ron (Sue) Blanchet of Fort Dodge, IA and Jack (Paulette) Blanchet of Humboldt, IA ; sisters, Jean (Paul) Erickson of Waterloo, IA and Nancy (Rod) Howell of Johnston, IA, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Eileen Blanchet and her husband, Stan Hunstad.
