Bonnie Rowe, of the Town of Trenton, passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at her residence. She was 71 years old.
Bonnie was born in Milwaukee on November 20, 1949, daughter of George Raab and Doris Mlnairk Raab. She grew up in Milwaukee, raised by her mother Doris and her stepfather Raymond Becker. Bonnie attended Rufus King High School, graduating with the class of 1968. After high school, she attended the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and cosmetology school. Bonnie worked as a health care professional for many area health care providers. In May of 1998 she married Michael Rowe in Port Washington. She put up with him for almost 23 years!
Bonnie had a great love of animals and was a big supporter of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. She also enjoyed playing the guitar, making jewelry, knitting, and her perennial garden. One of Bonnie's claims to fame was being the second runner-up the Mrs. Wisconsin Pageant in 1982. Bonnie cared about people and was a friend to everyone.
She is survived by her husband Michael of the Town of Trenton, four children: Karen (Randy) Schultz of Port Washington, Jennifer (fiancé Chico Farrington) Gagnon of Ladysmith, Robert (Kelly) Gagnon of Greenfield, and Jenna (Ryan) Palermo of Oconomowoc. She is further survived by seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two sisters Jane (Larry Church) Becker of Monticello and Linda (Christopher) Witzlib of Port Washington, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her father George, her parents Raymond and Doris Becker, three brothers: Gregory, Richard, and Larry Raab, one sister Marjorie Becker and many of her canine kids.
A Celebration of Bonnie's Life will take place on Saturday, April 24th, from 10:00 Am to 1:00 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Wisconsin Humane Society – Ozaukee Campus. Please, no flowers.
