Mrs. Betty Gean Peters, of Adell, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, April 7, 2023, at Gables on the Pond Assisted Living in Random Lake. She was 77 years old.
She was born in Greenbush on August 31, 1945, the daughter of David and Emma Fischer.
Betty graduated from Random Lake High School with the class of 1963.
On June 2, 1973, she married Milan "Mike" Peters at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Adell. He preceded her in death on May 12, 2008.
Betty worked at Borden Cheese Company in Plymouth for 45 years, retiring in 2010.
Betty enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards, traveling, attending Green Bay Packer games, going up north and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her children: twins Chad (Kadie) Peters and Carla (Michael) LaFever and son Michael Peters. Grandchildren Trenton, Ian, Hannah, Peyton, and Josie. Brothers: Mike (Joanne) Fischer, Elmer (June) Fischer and Jeff (Gina) Fischer. Sisters: Rosemary (George) Baumann, Paulette (Glenn) Wetor, Beverly Heckman, LaVern (Tom) Ninneman and Barbara Reysen. Brother-in-laws: Merlin (Janet) Peters, Ronald (Roseanne) Peters, Russ (Rita) Peters and Steve Peters. Sister-in-laws: Patricia Mueller and Janice (Duane) DeSmidt, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Mike, sisters-in-law Joyce Angelo, Sue Peters and Cindy Fischer, brother David Fischer III and brothers-in-law Verlin (Mouse), Steve Heckman and Richard Angelo and her In-laws Albert and Elaine Peters.
The family is honoring Betty's wishes to hold no funeral or celebration of life services. She lived by the motto, "if you can't come see me when I'm alive, you don't need to see me when I'm dead."
There will be a private burial of Betty's ashes at a later date.
The family wishes to thank the professional and loving team at Gables on the Pond, Palliative Hospice Care at Sharon S. Richardson and the entire hospital team at Aurora Medical Center, Grafton for giving her seven more years of life, and Don Heimerman and family for being the best neighbors ever.
