Betty Leak, a longtime resident of Port Washington, passed away in the afternoon hours of Monday, March 13, 2023, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. She was 93 years old.

Betty was born in Ozaukee County on April 14, 1929, daughter of George and Adeline (nee Rick) Sabol. She grew up in Grafton and graduated from Grafton High School with the class of 1947.

On May 17, 1947, she married Frederick C. Leak in Waukegan, IL. The couple settled in Port Washington to raise their family. He preceded her in death in 2009.

Betty was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Port Washington and was very active in the Women's Guild. Betty also enjoyed crafting, gardening, baking, collecting antiques with her husband, and was also a very good cook.

Betty is survived by her three sons: Dennis Leak, David (Laura) Leak, and Jeffrey (Carla) Leak. She is further survived by seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one sister Gladys Keyes, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred, and her granddaughter Nicole.

Funeral services for Betty will be celebrated on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 11 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church, 217 N. Freeman Dr., Port Washington. Pastor Dustin Anderson will preside over the service.

Visitation will precede the service on the 23rd from 10 am until the time of services.

Betty will be laid to rest next to her husband at Union Cemetery, Port Washington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. John's Lutheran Church, Port Washington.
