Betty Klinter, of Port Washington, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away in the morning hours of Monday, December 18, 2017 at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 90 years old. Betty was born in St. Catherine, Ontario on October 9, 1927 to Roy and Marguerite Mandley. Betty came to the United States in 1945, settling in Wisconsin. Betty worked as an inspector for Continental Can Company in Milwaukee for 42 years. She was a proud member of the United Steel Workers Union. Betty also was an avid reader, and enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, and was a huge fan of Betty Boop. She is survived by her four children: Debra (Jim Mienecke) Klinter, Denise (John) Zoesch and Duane (Steve Deardorff) Klinter all of Milwaukee and Darren (April) Klinter of Saukville. She is further survived by six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by three brothers: Leroy, Gary and Jack Mandley. A gathering to celebrate Betty's life will take place on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 5-6:30 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave., Cedarburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to the American Diabetes Association. The Eernisse Funeral Home, Cedarburg is honored to serve the family.
