Obituary

Betty Didier, of the Town of Port Washington, passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Lincoln Village where she was a resident. She was 103 years old. Betty was born in Milwaukee on April 23, 1915, daughter of Nicholas Heintskill and Mary Weyer Heintskill. She married Nick Didier in Milwaukee on August 26, 1944. The couple made their home in the Town of Port Washington where they worked side by side on the family farm and real estate auction business. Betty was a member of St. John XXIII Parish in Port Washington, as well as a member of the Port Washington Women's Club, and the Homemakers Club. She could be found for many years at the Ozaukee County Fair working at the Club's cream puff stand. Betty also was a former Ozaukee County Jury Commissioner, and enjoyed traveling, including trips to China, Japan, and Luxemburg. Betty is survived by her sons Peter (Pat) Didier and Nick (Sandee) Didier both of Port Washington, and her daughter-in-law Connie (the late Bill) Didier of Cedar Grove. She is further survived by eight grandchildren: Tom (Lora), Mike (Ali), Dave (Melissa) Didier, and the late Joe Didier, Nicholas (special friend Abbey Wiskirchen) Didier and KC (Brandon) Moore, and Adam Didier and Carrie (Keith) Mackey, 13 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Nick, son Bill, grandson Joe, two sisters Adele Ryan and Marie Jacoby, and three brothers Joe, Peter, and Henry Heintskill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 19th at 4:30 PM at St. John XXIII Parish St. Mary's Church, Port Washington. Father Pat Wendt will preside over the Mass. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery. Visitation will take place at the CHURCH Thursday the 19th from 2:30-4:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John XXIII School Building Fund are appreciated. The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington is honored to serve the family.
