Betty Ann Froemming of Cedar Grove, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the age of 96. She was born the beloved daughter of August and Ann (nee Knuth) Krueger on January 16, 1930.
Betty was raised in Milwaukee on Green Bay Avenue living above her family run bakery. She graduated from Rufus King High School and attended UW-Madison. Betty was united in marriage to Arthur Paul Froemming on August 28, 1948, and together raised three children. The couple ran the A&B True Value Hardware store in Belgium. Betty later worked as an office manager at Cream City Scales for 20 years and Leather Unlimited for 10 years prior to retirement at 81 years old.
Betty was a charter and active member of St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church. She was an active member of Lakeshore Garden Club in Sheboygan.
Betty was famous for her annual 4th of July parties, hosting many family and friends for over 70 years. Above all her family will remember her as being a loving and treasured mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Betty’s memory will be cherished by the people she knew best. She is survived by her children Arthur A. (Shirley) Froemming, Gail (Donnie) Traub, Walter P. Froemming; grandchildren Ann Weaver, Rebecca (Ashley) Noble, Julie (Keith) Wollenberg, Danika (David) Williamson, Lisa (Ryan) Blethroade; great-grandchildren Lauren, Tate, Grant, Wesley, Lexy, Ava, Luke, Amelia, Augustin, Clara and Porter. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur Paul; brothers Robert and August Krueger.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, 1525 N. Grant St., Port Washington, WI 53074. The family will receive friends and relatives in a time of visitation on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Eernisse Funeral Home, 171 N. Royal Ave., Belgium, WI 53004 and again at church on June 18, 2026, from 10:00 am until the time of service. Betty will be laid to rest next to her husband at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, WI.
Betty requested that any memorials be donated to St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church.
