Bertha Margarita Luevano Mrs. Bertha Luevano of Belgium WI and Laredo TX passed away Tuesday evening September 30 2014 at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Port Washington. She was 84 years old Bertha was born June 6 1930 in Moore Texas the daughter of Ildelfonso Gonzalez and Teresita Guerra de Gonzalez. On November 29 1949 she was united in marriage with Eugenio Escareno in Mexico. He preceded her in death in 1973. On November 30 1983 she was united in marriage with Francisco Luevano in West Bend. Bertha enjoyed gardening playing cards golfing trips to the casino and was an excellent seamstress who will be remembered for the bridal dresses she made. Bertha is survived by her husband Francisco and three children: Ma. Elena (Roberto) Sanchez of Port Washington Mario (Sylvia) Escareno of Port Washington and Ma. Rosario (the late Miguel) Sanchez of TX. She is further survived by 6 grandchildren: Brenda (Mark) Lammers Sandra I. Sanchez Ruby A. Escareno Mario A. Escareno Michael Alan Sanchez and Adan (Lucia) Sanchez great-grandchildren Ashley and Joseph Reyes sisters Ma. De Jesus and Ma. Guadalupe brother-in-law Cosme Luevano special nephew and niece Juan Carlos and Ma. De Jesus Gonzalez other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her first husband Eugenio Escareno and grandson Roberto Sanchez Jr. A Memorial Mass will be held at 12 noon on Saturday October 4 2014 at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church 1800 N. Wisconsin St. in Port Washington. Father Jim Vojtik will preside. The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday from 10AM-12 noon. Bertha will be laid to rest in Mexico beside her first husband Eugenio. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
