BERNADINE J. POSSLEY Mrs. Bernadine Possley of Antoine Drive in Port Washington passed away Saturday evening November 22 2008 at the VITAS hospice center in Wauwatosa.nbsp; She was 87 years old.nbsp; Bernadine was born in Port Washington on May 26 1921 daughter of George and Anna Ellermann Augustin.nbsp; She was united in marriage with George Hoffmann at St. Maryrsquo;s Catholic Church in Port Washington on September 9 1944.nbsp; The couple settled in Port Washington and raised their family.nbsp; He preceded her in death in 1963.nbsp; Bernadine then married Herbert Possley at St. Peterrsquo;s of Alcantara Catholic Church in Port Washington on August 17 1972.nbsp; Mrs. Possley was the Deputy City Clerk for the City of Port Washington retiring in 1983 after almost 20 years.nbsp; She was a member of St. Peterrsquo;s Church in Port as well as a member at the Senior Center.nbsp; She loved baking and giving away the gifts of her labor.nbsp; She also enjoyed golfing playing sheepshead and bridge. nbsp;Bernadine liked doing needlework and making quilts.nbsp; She made a quilt for each of her grandchildren and had started making them for her great-grandchildren as well. Mrs. Possley was a league bowler for many years regretfully giving it up earlier this year. Bernadine is survived by her husband Herb their 5 children: Raymond (Rose) Hoffmann PhD of Waukesha Eileen (Bruce) Friesch of Pewaukee Rosanne (Dennis) Ryer of Kansas City MO Robert (Sharon) Hoffmann of Atlanta GA and John (Sherry) Possley of Cedar Grove.nbsp; She is further survived by 13 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren 2 brothers: Norbert (Marie) and Leonard (Harriett) Augustin 1 sister Mary Bahr all of Port Washington one sister-in-law Dorothy Augustin of Brookfield nieces nephews other relatives and friends.nbsp; She is preceded in death by her first husband George Hoffmann and four brothers: Fred Joe Leander and Rueben.nbsp; A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7PM on Tuesday November 25th at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church 1800 N. Wisconsin St. Port Washington.nbsp; Father Patrick Wendt will officiate.nbsp; She will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery.nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Tuesday from 4-7PM.nbsp; Memorials in Bernadinersquo;s name are suggested to the Port Senior Center the Port Food Pantry or School Sisters of Notre Dame.nbsp; Bernadinersquo;s family wishes to express their gratitude for the great care provided by VITAS.nbsp; br /Service:br /pspan style=font-size: 12pt;span style=font-family: Times New Roman;A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7PM on Tuesday November 25th at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church 1800 N.
