Benjamin "Benny" D. Gawrysiak 86, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020. He was born to John and Helen (nee Stosik) Gawrysiak on May 4, 1933 in Milwaukee, WI. Benny married Janet Farrer on January 30, 1952 in Peterborough, England and together they had three children. Benny served his country in the United States Air Force as a Military Police Officer during the Korean War. He was stationed in Peterborough, England where he guarded B-29 aircrafts. It was in England where he met the love of his life Janet. Benny later became a police officer in Milwaukee for the 7th and 4th district and retired after 32 years of dedicated service. Benny is survived by his wife Janet, his children Gary (Janet) Gawrysiak, Jonathan (Diane) Gawrysiak and Glenn Gawrysiak; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Lucas John Gawrysiak and his brothers and sisters. A Funeral Service for Benny will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 1:00PM at Eernisse Funeral Home (1600 W Grand Ave. Port Washington, WI). The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 11:00AM until the time of service. He will be laid to rest at Holden East Cemetery.
