Beatrice E. Karrels Mrs. Beatrice Karrels age 88 years of Port Washington passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday August 20 2008 at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Port Washington where she had been a resident.nbsp; Bea was born in Grafton on April 20 1920 daughter of Henry and Lydia Genz Menzel.nbsp; She grew up on the family farm and enjoyed helping her father with all the farm chores.nbsp; On November 23 1940 she married Alvin ldquo;AJrdquo; Karrels in Grafton.nbsp; The couple lived in the Town of Port Washington and Mrs. Karrels helped her husband with his business Magna-Matic.nbsp; Bea also enjoyed tending to her flower garden and mowing the lawn.nbsp; She is survived by her son Elgin (Patricia) Karrels of Athelstane and her daughter Jeanne ldquo;Bethrdquo; (Alex) Crawford of Oliver British Columbia.nbsp; She is further survived by her son-in-law Gerd Bauer of Germany 5 grandchildren 4 great-grandchildren 1 sister Esther Kiminski of Menomonee Falls other relatives and many friends.nbsp; She is preceded in death by her husband AJ daughter Bonnie Bauer and 1 sister.nbsp; Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 27th at 1 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W.
