Barney T. Apthorp, who passed away Friday, Aug. 28th, 2020, was a loving and thoughtful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, a generous friend, and a doting caregiver to all creatures great and small.
He will be greatly missed by his family, including daughters Julie (Jay) Eppert and Laura Apthorp, step-daughter Leslie (Jim) Dehn and step-son Greg Siordia, grandchildren Laura (James) Nelson, James Eppert, Zachary (Kate Logman) Jasen, Lexi (Marcus Dumke) Jasen, Haele Jasen, Megan Dehn, Alex Dehn, Aaron Siordia, and great-grandchildren Liam, Hazel, Crosby, Hattie, Collins, Jameson, and Bodhi, as well as many friends, including his closest friend and partner-in-crime John Harmon, past and present members of the Thursday golf/breakfast club, and many, many more. He was preceded in death by his wife Jackie Apthorp, his parents, and older brothers.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19th at the Lions Pavilion in Upper Lake Park in Port Washington, WI from 1-5 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to New Life Pet Adoption Center at www.nlpac.com in Barney's name.
