Baldwin "Baldy" A. Clasen passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. He was 73 years old.

Baldy was born October 3, 1952, in Port Washington, Wisconsin to his parents Reinhard and Irmgard (nee Kurtz) Clasen. He graduated from Homestead High School in Mequon, Wisconsin in 1970. At which time, he continued to work on the family farm, and he started his 40+ year career at Mercury Marine in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. Baldy also throughout the years drove school bus in Mequon and Cedarburg.

Baldy loved to go fishing with his nephew. Go on long drives around lake Winnebago with his late wife Sally and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Baldwin is survived by his three children Amy Clasen, Andy Clarke, and Nicole Taugner (Jason), his grandchildren Hayden, Devin, Cyrus, Cecilia, Dani, Anthony and Kirsten. He is also survived by his sister Merrylou Green, brother Tim, nieces and nephew Beverly Green, Art Green (Kathy), Melanie Smith, and great nieces and nephew, Makayla, Draper and Izzy. Baldy is further survived by many other family and friends whom loved him dearly.

Baldwin was preceded in death by his loving wife Sally Lynn Clarke-Clasen, parents Reinhard and Irmgard (nee Kurtz) Clasen, brother John Clasen, and brother-in-law Melvin Green.

A Visitation for Baldwin will be held from 5-7PM on Wednesday January 28, 2026, at Eernisse Funeral Home (1167 Washington Ave Cedarburg, WI 53012) with a service to follow starting at 7PM. He will be laid to rest next to his loving wife Sally at Ledgeview Memorial in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Baldwins name can be made to Community United Methodist 701 Minnesota Ave, North Fond Du Lac, WI 54937 or to your Local Humane Society in remembrance of him.

The family would also like to give a heartfelt thanks to St. Croix Hospice and his Aide Nikki for taking such great care of him since the beginning.
