ARNOLD M. RISCH Arnie Risch of Royal Ave. in the Village of Belgium passed away Friday evening April 22 2011 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton following a brief illness. He was 77 years old. Arnold was born in Port Washington on December 25 1933 son of Benjamin and Theresa Kirsch Risch. On April 7 1956 he was united in marriage with Helen J. Casper at St. John's Catholic Church in Plymouth. Arnie joined the US Army and served during the Korean War. The couple settled in Belgium to raise their family. Arnie worked at the Belgium Foundry for over 30 years retiring in 1996. Following his retirement he did snow plowing welding and custom combining work for many people in the area. Mr. Risch was a member of Holy Rosary Parish Holy Cross. He enjoyed vegetable gardening canning and baking and loved to share the fruits of his labors with neighbors and friends. Arnie had always enjoyed fishing and hunting but also loved to feed the birds and the deer. He and Helen could frequently be found visiting and volunteering at local nursing homes. Survivors include his wife Helen of Belgium their three children: Steve (Carol) Risch of Random Lake Sandra McHugh of Belgium and Christine (Edward) Krimmer of Fontana CA. He is further survived by 7 grandchildren: Wayne Christopher Melanie Joshua Jacob Patricia and Daniel 1 great-granddaughter Clara 1 brother Bernard (Joyce) Risch of Port Washington sisters Victoria Boehle of Germantown and Mary Jane Winter of Sheboygan. He is also survived by sister-in-law Janet (the late Victor) Risch nieces nephews special friends Roger Streff Brian McHugh and Fr. James Ernster other relatives and many dear friends and his dear canine companion Angel. Funeral Services will be held on at 7PM on Wednesday April 27th at Holy Rosary Holy Cross Parish (5330 Hwy B Town of Belgium).He will be inurned at St. Mary Parish Cemetery Lake Church. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Wednesday from 5-7PM. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimers Association.
