Arnold Karrels Arnond Karrels age 92 years of Fredonia passed away in the morning hours of Sunday June 4 2006 at The Harbor Club in Port Washington surrounded by his loving family. Arnold was born in the Town of Port Washington on September 8 1913 son of Frank Karrels and Margaret Klas Karrels. On November 23 1940 he married Alice Jacoby at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church. The owned and operated a farm in the Town of Fredonia. Arnold was a life-long member of Holy Rosary Parish in Fredonia the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Fredonia Lions Club where he received the Melvin Jones Fellow Award in 1998. He enjoyed woodworking playing golf gardening watching his purple martins and fixing things. Mr. Karrels is survived by his wife Alice of Fredonia 5 children; Mike (Char) Karrels of Grafton Margie (Bob) Lallensack of Fredonia Pat (Mark) Westen of Elm Grove Diane (John) Plantz of Cadott and Nancy (David Roggenbuck) Karrels of Fredonia. He is further survived by 9 grandchildren 14 great-grandchildren 1 sister Dolores Mayer of Jackson 2 sisters-in-law nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother Jake Karrels. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday June 8 2006 at Holy Rosary Parish St. Rose Chapel in Fredonia with Arnold's cousin Father Jim Ernster officiating. Burial will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery Fredonia. Friends may call at the Church on Thursday June 8th from 4-7 PM.
