Mrs. Arlene Pfeifer passed away peacefully at Samaritan Home in West Bend in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 24, 2022. She was 86 years old. Arlene was born in Milwaukee on October 8, 1935, daughter of Roland and Ethel Koester Reckers. She attended local schools and graduated from Custer High School, Class of 1954. Later that year she was united in marriage with Gerald E. Pfeifer. The couple settled in Milwaukee and raised their family of six children. Mrs. Pfeifer worked for E K Williams Accounting, a firm that handled small business accounts. She enjoyed doing needlework such as knitting and crochet as well as cross stitch. Gerald preceded Arlene in death in 1999. Arlene moved to West Bend shortly after. She is survived by her six children: Mark (Tina), Danny (Jan), Randy (Sally), Vicki (Larry), David (Barb), and Dean (Kelly), as well as 17 grandchildren. She is further survived by 36 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, brother Gary (Avis) Reckers, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Gerald, brother Roger (Marilyn) Reckers, daughter-in-law Suzette Pfeifer and two grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 6PM on Tuesday, August 9th at Open Door Bible Church, 3420 County Rd LL in Port Washington. The family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday starting at 4PM until services at 6PM. Arlene will be laid to rest beside her husband at Wisconsin Memorial Park the following day.
