Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Annie M. Stadler of Saukville, WI announce her passing after a three-year, hard-fought, courageous, battle with breast cancer. Annie passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the age of 68. She married her high school true love, Ronald Stadler, at Holy Cross Chapel, in Belgium, WI on October 4, 1975. Together they raised four beautiful children.

Annie was a proud graduate of Ozaukee High School. She began her career as a bank teller and retired after almost 48 years in the banking industry as a branch manager at PWSB in Fredonia, WI. Annie was very involved in her community serving as a long-time board member of the Northern Ozaukee Schools Scholarship Foundation and served as treasurer for 10 of those years. She held different positions as a Fredonia Lioness and later transferred her efforts by becoming a member of the Fredonia Lions Club. Annie was part of the Fredonia Chamber of Commerce, board member of the Northern Ozaukee United Way, and belonged to the Ozaukee Warrior Booster Club. Annie had a strong passion for her local community and supporting all those around her.

Annie was dedicated to her loving husband and each of her children. In addition, Annie adored her grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to spend extra time with them. She especially enjoyed it when the entire family could spend time together at the holidays, around the pond at their home, or at the family cabin up north. Annie was an avid bowler for many years. She enjoyed bowling with her long-time friends and participated in the annual bowling fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.

Those left to cherish Annie's memory include her devoted husband Ronald, her cherished children Kim (Josh) Palleon, Lynn (Andrew) Marshall, Scott (Brynn) Stadler and Mike (Natalie Peralta) Stadler; "Granny" to Ella, Ava, Mya, Maxwell, Kaya, Tanner and Libby; siblings, Steven (Carol) Bares, Charles (the late, Mary) Bares, Edwin (Manejeh) Bares, Anthony (Jill) Bares, Hedy (Peter) Poull, and Ruth (Rick) Kultgen; sister-in-law Audrey Bares. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Betty Bares, her brothers Paul and Larry Bares, and sister Patricia Bares.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30pm on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington, WI 53074. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home from 4:00-6:30pm.

In lieu of flowers please provide support to the Northern Ozaukee Schools Scholarship Foundation Inc.

Special thank you to all of the family and friends who helped and supported Annie through her long journey. And thank you to the staff at the Aurora Cancer Center in Grafton and the staff and nurses (especially Audra) at Horizon Hospice care.
