Mrs. Annette Plier of Port Washington passed away late Wednesday evening, April 13, 2022, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. She was 80 years old.
Annette was born October 9, 1941, daughter of Ambrose and Bernice Tillman Thill. She grew up in Saukville and attended local schools, graduating from Port Washington High School, Class of 1959. On May 18, 1963 she was united in marriage with Henry M. "Mike" Plier III at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville. The couple settled in Port Washington and raised their family of four children.
Mrs. Plier was a faithful member of St. Mary's Church, currently St. John XXIII Parish. Her family and grandchildren were the center of her life; she loved to watch the grandkids sports activities and go on car rides with her husband. Annette was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Bingo, doing crossword puzzles and watching baseball. She fed the local critters daily, and checked the price of crude oil every morning. Recently she enjoyed watching home improvement shows.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Mike, their children Catherine of Port Washington, Michael (Linda) of Grafton, Patrick (Sherry), also of Grafton, and Ann (Donald Jr.) Greiveldinger of Spring Lake Park, MN. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Donald III, Angela, Patrick, Jacob, Benjamin, Alyssa, Erica, Zachary, Kaitlyn, Leah and Ryan. Mrs. Plier is further survived by sisters June Mominee of Sheboygan and Bernice (Art) Jentsch of Saukville, nieces, nephews, godchildren, other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Friday, April 22nd at St. John XXIII Parish – St. Mary Church, 430 N. Johnson St., Port Washington. Father Patrick Wendt will preside. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH Friday from 10AM until services at noon.
Memorials to St. John XXIII – St. Mary's Church are suggested in lieu of flowers.
