Obituary

Anita F. Kreuser passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 3, 2019. She was 98 years young. Anita was born on September 13, 1921 in Ellsworth, Wisconsin to Lydel and Maude (Sumter) Manor. Anita was united in marriage to the love of her life Roman (Romie as she called him) Kreuser on March 13, 1943 at St. Boniface Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Anita was the 2nd oldest of 13 children. She took part in helping her mother raise her siblings and was a second mother to them. During the depression, Anita often spoke of her and her brother Bill being responsible to take a wagon to the local firehouse and pick up the left-over food for the family. Anita's ability to be a strong-willed person continued through life as she and her son worked together while Roman was working to finish the first house Roman and Anita purchased with a GI bill on 73rd and Bobolink. This was the family's dream house and Anita and Roman were very proud of the accomplishment. Anita was also a dedicated employee at Gimble and Schuster's for 30 years, where she worked in all areas of the store. Not only did Anita work outside the home, but she kept the house immaculate and was an excellent cook. Anita managed the money for the family and remained sharp remembering dates and birthday's up until the end. She took great pride in maintaining her appearance always having her hair and nails done and wearing her signature jewelry. Arts, crafts, needle point, cards, reading and bingo were just of few of her hobbies. She enjoyed making baby blankets for family and friends. Family was most important to Anita and she will be dearly missed. Anita is survived by her son Don (Colleen) Kreuser, daughter April (Jerry) Krukar, grandchildren: Jody (Jay) Schwanz, James Metzenheim, Joseph (Nicole) Kreuser, John (Michelle) Kreuser, Courtney (Michael) Stark, Shawn (Marial) Krukar and Brian (special friend Haley) Krukar, 11 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, sisters: Dorothy (George) Collins, Phyllis Herbeck, Arlene Mifko and sister-in-law Carol Manor. She is further 34 nieces and nephews and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Roman, daughters: Judy (Mel) Seefeldt and Bernadette Kreuser, siblings Bill (Irene) Manor, Jerry (Frank) Richter, Peggy (Robert) Lauer, Jean (Eddie) Kreuser, James Manor, Joyce Bednarz, Thomas (Beulah) Manor, infant siblings Don and Jack and brothers-in-law Jack Herbeck and George Mifko.
