Angela M. Beschta Angela (Filetti) Beschta, of Fox Point, formerly of Mequon and Port Washington, went to her heavenly home in the early morning hours Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the tender age 49.
She was born in Milwaukee on March 19, 1969, the third child of Robert and Elizabeth (Ernster) Filetti. She grew up in Port Washington and graduated in 1987 from Port Washington High School. She was a competitor who excelled in sports and especially loved basketball. She enjoyed spending time with family and good friends. Anywhere Angela was there was always so much energy and many good times and laughs.
Angela married Brian Beschta on March 21, 1992. They moved to Mequon where they started their family. Angela spent many years as a caregiver for the elderly. Because of her selflessness, patience, and compassion, she had developed genuine relationships with the people she cared for. Those she worked with loved her. She also had spent time as an EMT with the Mequon Fire Department where she enjoyed the time with her co-workers and had formed many close friendships.
She had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed running, hiking and biking as well as taking in nature's beauty. She also competed in several triathlons and always went full speed. She had a passion for competition and constantly pushed herself to new challenges. She truly had the same passion when it came to her family and taught her children many life lessons. Her children are her world. She always encouraged them to follow their hearts and dreams. Angela's heart and soul will continue to be with us through the beautiful gifts of her children. Her strong will and great spirit is something we will always carry with us as well.
Angela was diagnosed with cancer in 2012. Through years of fighting which included many challenges, many surgeries, tears and struggles, Angela never wanted to be treated like a 'patient." She always asked the medical professionals to look at her as the person she was, not what was written in her medical chart. Her caregivers loved Angela and she always said, "thank you for doing what you do." She wanted to make sure the people around her were ok. No matter how she was physically feeling, she wanted to be able to console you and reassure you she was ok and reminded you to take care of yourself. Angela was an angel on earth and now an angel for all of us.
Angela is survived by her husband Brian, her daughter Jordan, sons Bradley and Brandon as well as her parents Robert and Elizabeth Filetti. She is further survived by her siblings Christine McCoy and her children Danny Jr, Derrick (Caitlin), Darcy (Roger) Pare, Gina, Carly and Caden, sister Jo Ann (Tom) Ross and their children Lauren (Mark) Allen, Alyssa (Eric) Logisz, Charlie and Mikey, brother Robert (Claudine) Filetti Jr. and their children Madeline and Tyler. She is also survived by her great nieces and nephews, Shelby, Marley, Greyson, Kendall and Mason.
Funeral services celebrating Angela's life will be held on Thursday, April 12th, at 6 PM at Crossroads Presbyterian Church, 6031 Chapel Hill Road, Mequon. Rev. Cheryl Galan will preside over the service.
She will be laid to rest in St. Mary Parish Cemetery, Lake Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Angela Beschta Memorial Fund c/o U.S. Bank.
