Amy O. Kuhl passed away at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice on Saturday, May 4, 2019. She was 70 years old. Amy was born on April 18, 1949 in Dubuque, Iowa the daughter of Edwin and Mary (nee Meyer) Ploessl.
Amy was a devoted and loving mother and an even more devoted and loving Nanin. She adored her brothers and sisters and missed her mama and daddy every day since their passing. She loved music, but couldn't carry a tune. She loved junk food but never gained a pound. She loved gambling but was terribly unlucky. She loved old movies and taught her kids to dance "The Pony". Hate was, to her, the worst of the four-letter words. Differences she explained to her children as, "to each, their own". She believed in kindness and honesty and the power of an afternoon nap. She taught her grandkids to love the Beetles, John Lennon especially. She will be so very missed by everyone lucky enough to love and have been loved by her.
Amy is survived by her four children Kara Kuhl, Andrew (Danielle) Kuhl, Allen (Jaclyn) Kuhl and Cindy (Ted Osberg) Kuhl, grandchildren Zoe, AJ, Zac, Nile, Sophia, Mona and Beckham, sisters Janice Waechtler, Lois Ploessl, Monica (John) Wolbers, brothers Randy (Becky) Ploessl, Dennis (Maria) Ploessl and Noel (Michelle) Ploessl. She is preceded in death by her sisters Eleanor (Robert) Doyle and Dianne Ploessl. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 West Grand Avenue Port Washington, WI 53074. Father Patrick Wendt will officiate.
