Mrs. Kilpatrick of Saukville passed away at her residence Thursday afternoon, August 28, 2025, while surrounded by her loving family. She was 70 years old.
Amy was born in Milwaukee on December 27, 1954, the daughter of Edward and Marianne (nee Ludwig) Boggs. She attended local schools including Nicolet High School before earning her bachelor's degree in music education from UW Milwaukee. Amy began her teaching career in the Brown Deer School District.
On June 12, 1981, Amy was united in marriage with Paul K. Kilpatrick at Lakeshore Baptist Church. The couple later moved to Oklahoma and started their family. Amy loved being a mother and raising her three sons.
The family moved back to Wisconsin in 1988 and found a home in Shorewood and later Glendale. She homeschooled her boys through their entire education. When her boys were grown, she began teaching again in Shorewood and later Eden. Amy and Paul moved to Saukville in 2019.
Musically gifted, Amy was a founding member of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Chorus, where she sang soprano, and sang with the Master Singers of Milwaukee as well as the Milwaukee Choral Artists. She was an accomplished pianist. Amy was also involved in establishing the Arts in Community Education (ACE) program in Milwaukee through the Milwaukee Symphony.
In her free time, Amy enjoyed gardening, sewing, doing needlepoint and scrapbooking.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Paul of Saukville, their three sons: Ian (Jacquelyn) of Virginia Beach, VA, Evan (Shannon) of Manassas, VA, and Sean of Grafton. She is further survived by 7 grandchildren, sister Becky (Jim) Vergin of Nerstrand, MN, brothers Daniel (Lynn) Boggs of Glendale and David (Cathy) Boggs of Bloomfield Hills, MI, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. Amy is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Wendy.
Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Friedens Church, 454 N. Milwaukee St., Port Washington. Pastor Brandon Lemons will preside. The family will receive guests at the church on Thursday, September 4, from 9AM until services begin at 11AM. Amy will be laid to rest later that day at St. Mary Mausoleum in Port Washington.
