AMBROSE J. ENTRINGER Mr. Ambrose Entringer passed away peacefully Saturday evening June 16 2012 at Harbor Club in Port Washington. He was 92 years old. Ambrose was born in St. Cloud WI on March 25 1920 son of John and Elizabeth LeFever Entringer. Following his schooling Ambrose joined the US Army and served during Word War II. He was united in marriage with Rosetta Birkhauser on August 16 1941 at Holy Cross Church in Mt. Calvary. Following the war Ambrose took a job with American Can Company in Milwaukee. After 32 years of faithful service he retired as the head of maintenance. Mr. Entringer was a member of St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church in Port Washington as well as a member of the Landt-Theil American Legion Post 470 in Saukville the Catholic Order of Foresters Knights of Columbus in West Bend and Immaculate Conception Holy Name Society. He enjoyed bowling golfing recalling his hole-in-one on the golf course and playing sheepshead. As a handyman he could fix anything. Mr. Entringer is survived by his wife of 70 years Rose of Port Washington their three children: Sharon (Michael) Travis of Chicago IL Ronald (Debra) Entringer of Albany NY and Bonnie (Bruce) Bloemer of Port Washington. He is further survived by six grandchildren: Jennifer (Anthony) Fout of Chicago Eric (Shana) Travis of New York NY Michelle (Matt) Fritschel of Cedarburg Jill (Jason) Hartwig of Appleton Ashley (Eric) Large of Port Washington and Jaclyn Entringer of Port Townsend WA 4 great-grandchildren: Grant Dylan Noah and Jackson sister Marie (Ed) Schneider of Fond du Lac nieces nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Elizabeth and brother Albert (the late Veronica) Entringer. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 6PM on Wednesday June 20th at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church 1800 N. Wisconsin St. Port Washington. Father Wayne Bittner will officiate the service. He will later be laid to rest in St. Claudius Cemetery St Cloud WI. The family will receive visitors Wednesday at the CHURCH from 4-6PM.
