Amber Renae Burkholder
May 9, 1994 – June 22, 2026
Amber Renae Burkholder, age 32, entered the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 22, 2026.
Amber’s life was a beautiful testimony to the truth that every person is created in the image of God and possesses immeasurable value, dignity, and purpose.
Amber’s life was a beautiful testimony to the truth that every person is created in the image of God and possesses immeasurable value, dignity, and purpose. Though her life was marked by significant physical challenges, those who knew Amber understood that she was never defined by her limitations. Rather, she was a precious creation of God whose life reflected His love, grace, and compassion in profound ways.
Through her beautiful blue eyes and her unforgettable smile, Amber touched countless lives. She inspired gratitude, compassion, patience, and selfless love in all who knew her. Her life served as a powerful reminder of Christ’s special care for the vulnerable and the value that God places on every human life. Though she spoke no words, God used Amber’s life to communicate truths that words often cannot express.
For thirty-two years, Amber was faithfully and lovingly cared for by her parents, Brian and Vickie Burkholder. With unwavering devotion, they selflessly met her every need and faithfully stewarded the precious gift God had entrusted to them. Their sacrificial love reflected the heart of Christ and stands as a testimony to God’s sustaining grace throughout Amber’s life.
While Amber endured much suffering in this fallen world, her story is ultimately one of hope. The Lord, who was faithful to sustain her throughout her earthly journey, has now brought her into His presence where every burden has been lifted and every trace of suffering has been removed. Today, Amber is experiencing the fullness of joy promised to all who belong to Christ, rejoicing in the presence of the One who created her, loved her, and redeemed her.
Amber is survived by her grandparents, Merle Pearson and Ray and Norma Burkholder; her parents, Brian and Vickie Burkholder; her brothers, Justin (Jenny) Burkholder and Mark (April) Burkholder; and her beloved nieces and nephews, Isabella, Olivia, Sofia, Titus, Zoey, Annabelle, and Cole.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Athnee Pearson.
Though Amber’s family grieves her absence, they do not grieve without hope. They rejoice in the promise of the gospel and look forward to the day when they will see her again, fully healed and forever whole in the presence of Jesus Christ.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 9:00–10:00 a.m., followed by a celebration of Amber’s life and God's faithfulness at 10:00 a.m. at Cedar Creek Community Church.
