Obituary

Alois J. Huiras Mr. Alois "Allie" Huiras of Fredonia, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. He was 81 years old. Allie was born May 6, 1934 in the town of Fredonia, son of Alois and Martha (nee Pirrung) Huiras. After high school, he attended UW Madison for 2 years where he studied agriculture and dairy science.He proudly served his country in the United States Army. On August 18, 1956, he was united in marriage with Agnes Kleckner at Holy Cross Catholic Church. The couple farmed together until 1988, when they sold the farm to their son Brian. Agnes preceded Allie in death in 2012. Alois was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish in Random Random Lake, where he had been active with the school and church boards. He had also been a board member with the Greater Random Lake/Adell United Fund, and volunteered for many years with the Random Lake Food Pantry. Alois enjoyed going to the family cottage near Neshkoro, and fishing year round. He enjoyed traveling, and visited 49 of the states. He was a steward of the land, and a lifelong farmer who also enjoyed gardening. Alois is survived by five children: Larry (Nadine) of Random Lake, Brian (Pam) of Fredonia, Allan of Random Lake, Kevin (Tami) of Wisconsin Rapids and Renee Huiras of Grafton. He is further survived by 13 grandchildren: Nathan (Nicole), Seth, Ashley, Chelsea (Ryan), Brian Jr., Alexandria, Jessica (Aaron), Jacob, Arielle, Dominique, Cordell, Riley and Owen; siblings: Harold (Arlene) Huiras of Fredonia, James (Jean) Huiras of Random Lake, JoAnne (John) Heiting of SC and Marie Staral of West Bend, many brothers and sisters-in-law from the Kleckner family, special friend Mary Stehling, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Agnes and daughter Lisa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 6:30 PM at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish - St. Mary's Chapel in Random Lake, with Father Todd Budde officiating. He will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery beside Agnes. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the church from 3-6:15 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to the Greater Random Lake/Adell United Fund or Portal Inc. The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington is assisting the family.
