Obituary

ALLIE J. EISCHEN Mr. Allie Eischen of Stark Road in Random Lake formerly of Port Washington passed away at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton late Friday evening October 19 2012. He was 91 years old. Allie was born in the Town of Sherman on January 30 1921 son of Bernard and Anna Yearling Eischen. He attended local schools and enlisted in the US Army serving in the European Theatre during World War II. He was captured and became a POW in Germany. Following his release Allie returned to the States and was united in marriage with Harriet Schmit on August 14 1947 at Friedens United Church of Christ. The couple lived in Grafton and then settled in Port Washington to raise their family. Allie worked for Wisconsin Electric as a turbine operator retiring in 1986 as a plant operator. Harriet preceded him in death in 1995 after 47 years of marriage. On May 15 2000 he married Ruth Swatek Schmit. She preceded him in death in 2007. Allie moved to Random Lake in 2010. Mr. Eischen was a former member of Friedens Ev. Church and was a current member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg. He was also a member of IUOE Local 420. Allie was a regular at the morning breakfast meetings of retired WE employees and enjoyed photography gardening fishing bowling and taking care of his tropical fish. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his four children: Karen Miller of Random Lake Kay (Randy) Sissom of Cedarburg Cindy Fischer of Sheboygan and Paul (Cherilyn) Eischen of Plymouth 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by five step-children: James Schmit of Port Washington John Schmit of Horicon Jarrett (Lara) Schmit of Monaco Suzanne Fellenz of Port Washington and Jeanne Koehler of Milwaukee and 9 step-grandchildren. Further surviving are his brother Melvin (LaVonne) Eischen of Grafton nieces nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by both of his wives his father parents Anna Edwin Codling brother Alvin Eischen and sister Rosemary Nisleit. Funeral Service will be held Thursday October 25 7PM at Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W Grand Ave. Port Washington. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7. Allie will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery in Port Washington.
