Mr. Alfredo A. Lopez, Sr., passed away Tuesday morning, July 12, 2016 at his home in the town of Port Washington surrounded by his loving family. He was 71 years old. Alfred was born April 20, 1945 in San Antonio, TX, the son of Atanacio and Domitila Aguero Lopez. He graduated from Cedar Grove High School in. On October 3, 1964, he was united in marriage with Maria "Mary Lou" Gonzales at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lake Church. For 25 years, he worked as a maintenance electrician at ECK Industries. Alfred attended Faith Baptist Church in Port Washington. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who always made sure his family came first. Alfred is survived by his wife Mary Lou and their 6 sons: Alfredo (Julie) Lopez Jr., Daniel Lopez, John Lopez, Michael (Lois) Lopez, Eric Lopez and Angelo (Cindy) Lopez. He is further survived by his grandchildren: Alfredo Lopez III, Kyle, Sarah, Allison, Caleb, Rigoletto, Allissa, Morgan, Isabel, Alexander, Bradd, Hannah, Austin and D'Angelo, sister Maria Lopez Keegan, brother Phillip Lopez, sister-in-law Sarah Lopez, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Alfred is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Joe Frank Lopez. Funeral Services will be held at 10AM on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave. in Port Washington. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 9AM-10AM. Alfred will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery in Port Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Faith Baptist Church. The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
