Obituary

Alfred W. Kultgen of Port Washington passed away unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon July 23 2014 at Harbor Campus. He was 89 years old. Alfred was born August 18 1924 in Belgium the son of Joe and Annie Rock Kultgen. Al proudly worked on three family farms in the Belgium area with his parents and siblings. On May 11 1957 he was united in marriage with Angela Mayer at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington. Angie preceded him in death in January of this year. For 29 years Alfred worked at Simplicity Manufacturing doing machine maintenance retiring in 1983. Al was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2035 the National Rifle Association the International Machinists Union and formerly the Ozaukee County Rescue Team. Al enjoyed hunting and fishing and including his nephews and great-nephews on his outings. He was a great role model who will be remembered as the family and neighborhood handyman. He will be sorely missed by all. Alfred is survived by his sister-in-law Dolores Kultgen nieces nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and dear wife of 56 years Angie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday July 29 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church 430 Johnson St. Port Washington. Father Thomas Lijewski will officiate. He will be laid to rest at the parish cemetery beside his wife Angie. The family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday from 10-11AM. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Catholic Church Port Washington. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is honored to be serving the family.
