It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alfred "Al" C. Raasch III of Fredonia, who left this world on January 19, 2025, after a courageous and determined battle spanning five weeks. Al was 73 years old.

Al was born on June 24, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Alfred and Ursela (Schneider) Raasch II. He graduated from Custer High School with the class of 1969.

On February 16, 1974, he was united in marriage to the love of his life Jacqueline Lederhause at Peace Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. They spent over 50 years together. Together they enjoyed camping and boating, making new memories of every trip they embarked on.

Al was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Fredonia. He enjoyed the comradery of being part of the Burnt Offerings Men's Group at church. He also enjoyed baking bread and smoking many kinds of meats. Always willing to try a new recipe.

He was a proud member of the Waubeka Fire Department for over 10 years. One of his greatest joys was being in nature. You could always find him hunting or fishing at any of his favorite spots.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Jackie, his stepsister Debbie (Doug) Spiering-Yip, his niece Camille Yip, his goddaughter Danielle Kruse, along with many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his brother Richard Raasch, his stepmother Mary Raasch and his in-laws Harvey (Dolly) Lederhause.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 824 Fredonia Ave, Fredonia. The family will greet friends and relatives from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers donations in Al's name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
