Obituary

Alfred D. Poklasny Mr. Alfred Poklasny of Pleasant Valley Road in the Town of Cedarburg passed away at Columbia-St. Mary's Hospice in Milwaukee on the evening of Saturday January 15 2005. He was 85 years old. Alfred was born on May 18 1919 in Port Washington son of Louis and Mary Karl Poklasny. After his schooling he eventually went to work at Bolens Manufacturing in Port Washington retiring as a manufacturing engineer after 42 years on the job in 1986. On June 3 1944 Alfred was united in marriage with Alice Antoine at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church. The couple lived in the Port Washington area and Alice preceded him in death in October of 1976. On March 1979 he was united in marriage with Marion Gall Biever at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church North in Cedarburg. The couple moved to Glendale and then settled in Cedarburg. Mr. Poklasny was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He enjoyed woodworking working in his garden and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting and was very proud of the 10-point buck he shot when he was 80 years old. He is survived by his wife Marion of the Town of Cedarburg his 2 daughters: Joyce (Fritz) Kemp of Mission Hills KA and Karen Fasbander Poklasny of Port Washington and 2 grandchildren: Christopher Kemp and Carolyn (John) Gates both of Kansas City MO. He is further survived by 3 step-children: James (Vicki) Biever of South Milwaukee Mary Biever of Reedsburg and Nancy (John) Nogalski of Cedarburg 5 step-grandchildren: Justin and Adam Biever both of South Milwaukee Clint Nogalski of Grafton John and Sara Nogalski both of Cedarburg 2 sisters-in-law: Frances (Bob) Kissinger of West Bend and Margaret (Jim) McGurk of Waukesha nieces nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his first wife Alice and 3 sisters. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Wednesday January 19th 6:30 PM from the Funeral Home going to St. Francis Borgia South (N44 W6055 Hamilton Road Cedarburg) for Mass at 7PM. Father Alan Veik will officiate. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery Port Washington. The family will receive visitors at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. (Hwy 33 LL) in Port Washington on Wednesday from 4:30 -6:30 PM.
