ALFRED H. MENTZEL Alfred Mentzel age 85 years of Mequon Care Center formerly of Grafton died Monday evening November 3 2003. He was born February 21 1918 in Grafton son of Carl and Ida Ley Mentzel. He graduated from Grafton High School and Married Evelyn Dahm on May 1 1943 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton. She preceded him in death in 2001. Mr. Mentzel worked as a tool and die maker and retired from Orion Corp. in Grafton in 1980. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton. Survivors include his children Alfred L. (Annette) Mentzel of Grafton Carol Kempke of Waukesha Robert (Barbara) Mentzel of Tulsa OK and Helen (Patrick) Lewis of Great Falls MT grandchildren Timothy (Julia) Mentzel Bryan (Deana) Mentzel Kristin Ulmen Lori (Robert) Marien Greg Kempke Vicki Kempke Katie Mentzel Leah Mentzel Brandon (Crystal) Jennifer and Michael Lewis great grandchildren Taylor Tyce Alex Sarah and Zoe 1 sister in law Erna Dahm other relatives and friends. Funeral Friday November 7 1 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church Grafton with Rev. Kenton Wendorf officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In state at the CHURCH Friday after 11 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Paul School Library or Gymnasium appreciated.
