Alexander J. Brabender Alex Mr. Alexander Brabender age 84 years of Grafton formerly of Mequon passed away on January 16 2006 at Casa de la Luz Hospice Center in Tucson AZ. He was born in the Town of Sherman on June 15 1921 son of the late Henry and Frances Slavik Brabender. On June 17 1944 he married Genrose Hubing at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Dacada. Alex worked in the maintenance department at Continental Can Co for 33 years retiring in 1983. He is a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish and founding caller of the Square Benders Square Dance Club in Milwaukee. Alex was a square dance caller for over 35 years and a member of the Milwaukee Area Callers Association. He enjoyed square dancing wood working sports and traveling. He is survived by his wife Genrose of Grafton 2 daughters Jean Spry of Grafton and Susan (Victor) Doers of Theresa. He is further survived by 2 grandchildren Mick and John Spry 2 great-grandchildren Mikaela and Ryan Spry 1 brother Vernon (Violet) Brabender of Port Washington 2 sisters Hilda (the late Kenneth) Mondloch of Random Lake and Marcella (the late Wilmer) Feider of New Holstein nieces nephews other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday January 23 2006 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish St. Nicholas Chapel W4274 Highway K Random Lake with Father Jim Vojtik and Father Jim Ernster officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Eernisse Funeral Home 171 N. Royal Ave. Belgium on Sunday Jan. 22nd from 1-4 PM and also on Monday at the church from 9:30-10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials suggested.
