Grafton
Alex Peterson, of Cedarburg, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at the age of 41.
Alex was born on February 6, 1985, in Rockford, Illinois, to Corey and Tina (née Smith) Peterson. During his childhood, he lived with his family in both Rockford, Illinois, and Athens, Georgia, before moving to Cedarburg in 1997. He graduated from Cedarburg High School with the Class of 2003.
Following high school, Alex attended Milwaukee Area Technical College, where he studied systems security. He dedicated many years to serving others as a paramedic with Curtis Ambulance in Milwaukee. For the past 15 years, he was employed by Charter Steel in Saukville as a Water Treatment Specialist, where he was respected for his knowledge and commitment to his work.
Outside of his career, Alex had a lifelong passion for technology. A true computer enthusiast, he enjoyed building custom computers, coding, and exploring the ever-evolving world of computer security. Alex loved to eat, often trying unusual food from different cultures. He also found fulfillment in hydroponic gardening and had a deep interest in philosophy, always appreciating opportunities to learn and think more deeply about the world around him.
Alex will be deeply missed by his loving parents, Corey and Tina Peterson; his sisters, Annah Peterson and Abbey (Ryan) Decker; and his cherished nieces, Riley and Roxanne. He is further survived by other relatives, many dear friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In accordance with Alex's wishes, private family services will be held.
The Peterson family would like to thank everyone for their kindness, support, and prayers during this difficult time.
