Alex H. Brost of Port Washington, age 87, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2017. He was born to Alex and Catherine (nee Brinkman) Brost on September 10, 1929 in Elkhart Lake. He married the late Violet "Joan" Spangler on October 20, 1951 at St. George in Elkhart Lake and together they had three children. Retiring at age 55, Alex and Joan traveled extensively throughout the US, Canada, and Europe. Winters were spent in southern California and summers in Door County. In 1998 they moved to Port Washington to be closer to family. Alex is survived by his children, Scott (Joyce) Brost of Port Washington, Mark (Judith) of Wausau and Barbara (Tom) Tveit of La Quinta, CA., six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Alex was preceded in death by his parents; his sweetheart Joan and granddaughter Erin Brost. Private services were held. Memorials to St. John XXIII School suggested.
