ALBERT W. OSKEY Mr. Albert Oskey formerly of Lynn Road in Random Lake passed away at Golden Living Center in Sheboygan on Saturday afternoon March 28 2015 while surrounded by his loving family. He was a week shy of celebrating his 90th birthday. Albert was born on April 4 1925 in Cato WI son of Albert and Elizabeth Hoyer Oskey. The family moved to the Dacada area while Al was young and he attended local schools before joining the US Marine Corps. Al proudly served during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. On August 27 1955 Al was united in marriage with Elaine Miller at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Random Lake. The couple settled in Milwaukee but moved to Random Lake in 1965 after purchasing the Miller farm on Lynn Road. The couple raised three children. Al worked as a metal polisher for Milwaukee Electric Tool before taking a job at Lakeside Foods in the Label Department. He retired in 1989. Mr. Oskey was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish St. Mary's Chapel as well as an honorary member of the Silver Creek Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing woodworking gardening hunting and traveling. Al liked music and was a fantastic joketeller with great timing. He is survived by his wife Elaine of Sheboygan and their children: Randolph Oskey of Sheboygan Jean (Andy) Shanholtz also of Sheboygan and Thomas (Cindy) Oskey of Sussex. He is further survived by his eight granddaughters: Emily Naomi and Leslie Oskey Stacy (Travis) Whitcomb Colleen (Brandon) Ebersole Courtney (Nick) Kartes Madeline Amanda Oskey seven great-grandchildren: Evalynn Nevaeh Landen Collin Aliyah Brynn and Elise nieces nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by two infant children Joseph and Mary Ann brother Elmer Oskey and four sisters: Alice Schlies Dorothy DeSmith Mildred Van Rite and Betty Hoffmann. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 6PM on Wednesday April 1st at Our Lady of the Lakes St. Mary Chapel Random Lake. Father Richard Cerpich will preside. He will be laid to rest the next day in the parish cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Wednesday from 4-6PM.
