Alan L. Heider Mr. Al Heider of Water St. in Hingham passed away unexpectedly at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital on Saturday October 2 2010 due to a brain aneurism.nbsp; He was 60 years old. Alan was born January 10 1950 in Fond du Lac the son of Herbert and Marcella Wachs Heider. On September 1 1978 he was united in marriage with Lynda Hansen. Al worked as a welder at Bolens/Garden Way in Port Washington for over 20 years and then as a mason for Stecker Construction in Oostburg for the last 13 years. Al enjoyed bonfires watching wrestling and old black and white westerns shooting pool and playing softball and horseshoes. Al and Lynda enjoyed socializing with friends at local taverns which led them into owning the Pit Stop II in Belgium from 1990-1992 where they made many close friends and acquaintances. He was a caring father to his four children very proud PaPa to his eight grandchildren and generous person who shared the gift of life through organ and tissue donation after his death. Al is survived by his wife Lynda and four children: Christine Skelton of Las Vegas NV Jeff Heider of Pahrump NV Corey Heider of Hingham and Amy (Scott) Soerens of Cedar Grove. He is further survived by 8 grandchildren: Landon Heider Carlie Wharton Kayleigh Heider Jordyn Peaine JR Laganowski Deven Soerens Alyssa Laganowski and Gracee Soerens one sister Joan (Dick) Ehnert of New Fane WI brothers and sisters-in-law: Jeanette Patasius of Plymouth Donald (Jeanette) Patasius of West Bend Ronald (Audry) Patasius of West Bend Donna (Bruce) Laabs of Port Washington Karla (Ed) Harvey of Cascade and Bonnie (Doc) Erickson of Port Washington nieces nephews other relatives and many close friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 7PM on Wednesday October 6 at Eernisse Funeral Home 171 N. Royal Ave. in Belgium. Pastor Earl Slotman will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7PM. The Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
