ALAN E. TIETZ Mr. Alan Tietz age 65 of Grafton passed away at his residence Tuesday afternoon September 24 2013 while surrounded by his loving family. Alan was born in Milwaukee on October 29 1947 son of Jacob and Viola Schmechel Tietz. He was a member of the second graduating class at Homestead High School and attended University of Wisconsin Stout obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. He was a member of the Phi Sigma Epsilon fraternity. On August 30 1969 he was united in marriage with Sherry Lofy in Cumberland WI. The couple settled in Menomonie before moving to Two Rivers/ Manitowoc area and spending 14 years in Fond du Lac before moving to Grafton in 1989. Alan had worked at Bolens in Port Washington before becoming a facility engineer with WackerNeuson in Menomonee Falls. Al enjoyed woodworking fishing and boating golfing and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Sherry and their three children: Carrie (William) Schoof of Texas Brian (Shannon) Tietz and Jamie Mudrick both of Minnesota. He is further survived by his seven grandchildren: Julia Lexi Emma Maggie Mia Will and Dash two brothers: Lee (Kathy) Gruenewald of Shorewood and Llewellyn (Alice) Tietz of Menomonee Falls cousins nieces nephews other relatives and friends. A Celebration Of Life will be held at 4:30 PM on Sunday September 29th at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1167 Washington Ave. Cedarburg.
