Obituary

Agnes J. Morgan of Port Washington passed away August 19, 2024, peacefully at High Point Residence (formerly Ellen's Home) in Port Washington at the age of 92. Agnes was born January 19, 1932 in Iron Mountain, MI to Agnes (LaLonde) and Alfred Murray.

She was united in marriage with Lloyd Morgan on August 23, 1952, at St. Barbara's Church in Vulcan, MI. Lloyd and Agnes started their married life in Sheboygan, WI and in 1957 they moved their family to Port Washington where they raised 8 children.

Lloyd and Agnes loved to dance and belonged to West Bend Dance Club. They also loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. Lloyd preceded Agnes in death in 2010.

Agnes worked in the payroll department at Simplicity Mfg, retiring in 1994. She then went to work at Anchor Men's Wear, where she enjoyed all the customers. She retired again in her 80's. She was a devoted member of St John XXIII Parish. Agnes was also a member of the Hawthorne Honeys, the Port Washington Women's Club and Christian Women's at St Mary's Parish. She loved playing cribbage whether it was with the Senior Center, a group at Lincoln Village or with her grandson. She enjoyed watching the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers.

Above all Agnes was proud of her large family who will greatly miss her. She is survived by her children: Michele (David) Stricker, Tom (Debbie) Morgan, Jeff (Rose) Morgan, and Terry Morgan all of Port Washington, Kevin (Judy) Morgan of Appleton, Mary Kay (Steve) Baumann of Saukville and Jane (Mark) Matheny of Grafton, 18 grandchildren: Kelly (Mark Nagarajan) Stricker, Katie and Kari Stricker, Joel Morgan, Melissa (Nick) Suddendorf, Michael (Jaime) Morgan and Mackenzie (Tim) Johnson, Scott (Carmen) Morgan, Shawn (Megan) Morgan and Melissa (Eric) Kultgen, Kristen (Shane) Wagner, Melanie (Brice) Peterson, Erin (Andy) Mathes, Jeffrey (Beth) Morgan and Courtney (Jerrod) Bravo, Eric (Kelsey) Baumann and Alyson Baumann and Morgan Matheny. She is further survived by 29 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Betty Meyer, Carleen Morgan and Susan Morgan, brothers-in-law Leo Morgan and Aaron (Shirley) Mertes, and by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, son Daniel Morgan, daughter-in-law Marlene Morgan, granddaughter Mary Beth Morgan, great-grandson Leo Morgan, and brother Bob (Esther) Murray.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Agnes will be held at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, September 3rd at St. John XXIII - St. Mary's Church, 430 Johnson St. Port Washington WI. The family will receive visitors at St. John XXIII – St. Mary's Church from 2:00 pm until 4:45 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St John XXIII or to the Alzheimer's Association.

The family wishes to extend a Thank you to the staff at High Point Residence for her care the last three years and to Preceptor Hospice in her final weeks.
