Longtime Cedarburg resident Diane Callen passed away at Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Mequon on Saturday March 14, 2020 at the age of 72. Diane Elizabeth Spitz was born in Milwaukee on September 5, 1947 the daughter of Glenn and Evelyn (Nee Tilkins) Spitz.
After graduating from St. Nicholas Grade School in Milwaukee and Dominican High School in Whitefish Bay, she went on to study at UW-Milwaukee. She was united in marriage to Michael "Mic" Callen on July 20, 1968, at St. Nicholas Parish in Milwaukee. Survivors include her husband Mic (dec February 16, 2026); sons Todd (Shereen) and Ryan (Jillian Zierk); grandchildren Ty, Mandalyn and Ava, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
On Saturday April 11, 2026, at 10:30 AM, a Mass of Christian Burial for both Diane and Mic will be celebrated at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church-South, N44W6055 Hamilton Road in Cedarburg. A Celebration of Life Visitation and Reception for the Callen's will be held on Friday April 10, 2026 from 1:30-4:00 PM at the Peter Wollner American Legion Post, W57N481 Hilbert Avenue in Cedarburg.
