Betty (Ramthun) Hack Saukville resident Betty Hack 55 died December 13 2005 at Columbia-St. Mary's Hospice in Milwaukee. Betty was born in Port Washington on May 30 1950 and raised in Wausau WI. She was the daughter of James Hack and Louann (Nowitzke) Wood. Betty graduated from Newman High in 1968 in Wausau and was a talented flute player in the marching band. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 388 also in Wausau. On December 18 1987 Betty married Keith Ramthun in Port Washington. Keith along with her only son Lance Hack Lance's fiance Rebecca Fink their daughter Kelly Hack and of course her beloved cat Holly enjoyed many happy moments together. Betty took special delight in her nieces and nephews her stepson Jared Ramthun his new wife Melissa and their son Andrew. She suffered from many health issues including those related to diabetes and having to undergo dialysis 3 times per week for 3 years. Betty also went through having both her legs amputated in 2002 due to the complications from diabetes. None of this however slowed her down. Always on the go Betty loved to browse and shop at local stores usually looking for just the right thing for her new granddaughter Kelly and the many other people in her life. Betty is survived by her husband Keith Ramthun of Saukville WI. son Lance Hack of Port Washington WI. granddaughter Kelly Hack of Port Washington mother Louann Wood of Wausau three sister's; Jacquelyn (Richard) Brown of St. Clair Shores MI. Margaret Hack of Marathon WI. Mary (William) Mansell of Wausau and three brothers; James Hack Thomas (Mary) Hack and Richard Hack all of Wausau. Betty is preceded in death by her father James Hack and her brother Gerald Hack. She will be terribly missed by all.
