MARJORIE PEARL LESNIEWSKI
Mrs. Marjorie Lesniewski, formerly of Van Altena Street in Cedar Grove and Milwaukee, was taken into God’s loving arms on Thursday morning, February 25, 2010 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. She was 91 years old. Marjorie was born in Sheboygan Falls on May 24, 1918, daughter of Fredrick and Myrtie Plopper Ramaker. She attended school in Sheboygan Falls, graduating with the Class of 1936. On July 11, 1942, she was united in marriage with Alvin Lesniewski in Sheboygan Falls. The couple lived in Milwaukee on the south side, near 20th & Forest Home Ave. They raised their family there, and later moved to Cedar Grove in 1986. He preceded her in death in 2005. Marjorie was a member of Faith Reformed Church in Cedar Grove, and had been a very active member of the ladies groups. She had been a volunteer at St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee, assisted with the mailings for “Campus Life” youth group in Sheboygan and volunteered at Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls for many years, where she was affectionately known as the “Cookie Lady.” Mrs. Lesniewski enjoyed baking and gardening, knitting, crocheting and doing various crafts. Marjorie is survived by her three children: Richard (Janice) Lesniewski of Milwaukee, Mary (Ronald) Van Ess of Oostburg and Daniel (Rhonda) Lesniewski of Franklin. She is further survived by 7 grandchildren: Andrea (Corey) Long, Chad Van Ess, Scott (Candy), Steve (Shannon), Shaun (Jennifer), Shannon and Aaron Lesniewski, 10 great-grandchildren, her sister Jessie Lorens of Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls, sister-in-law Eunice Domowicz of Milwaukee, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers: Edwin Ramaker and Shirley Ramaker and 1 sister Eunice Holden. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, March 1st, at Faith Reformed Church, 243 4th Street in Cedar Grove. Pastor Earl Slotman will officiate. Marjorie will be laid to rest beside her husband in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Monday from 9-11AM.
