Philip “Phil” Uselding, age 71 years of Saukville died Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Mequon. He was born November 15, 1938 in Belgium, son of Elsie DeSmith Uselding and the late Alphonse Uselding. On May 28, 1960, he married Karen Miller at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville. Phil worked at Orion Corp. in Grafton for 30 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and golfing. He played hardball for Port Washington and Saukville for many years and coached Little League for 12 years. Phil’s greatest pleasure was watching his grandchildren participate in their various activities. He was a member of the Saukville Moose Lodge and the Grasshopper Traveling Golf Club. Survivors include his wife Karen, his children Jan (Paul) Schueller, Joan (Pat) Gasser, Jeff Uselding (fiancé Grace Colden-Lueders) of Port Washington, Jacquie Uselding (Kent Jeffers) of Cedar Grove, John (Sharon) Uselding, Jill (Mark) Lackovic, Jamie (Jenny) Uselding of Port Washington, and Julie Sauer of Cedar Grove , his grandchildren Katy, Abbey, and Ben Schueller, Becky (Randy) Plier, Carrie (Derek) Knepprath, Lauren and Josh Gasser, Amber, Ashley, and Aimee Large, Hannah Katona, Matthew, Meghan, and Allie Uselding, Erin, Michael, and Marcus Lackovic, Zach, Emma, Nathan, and Kyle Uselding, and Alyssa Sauer, two great grandchildren Kaylee Knepprath and Brayden Oelhafen, his mother Elsie Uselding of Port Washington, two brothers Rich (Michelle) Uselding of Random Lake and Alphonse “Junior” (Peggy) Uselding of Port Washington, his aunt Clemi Uselding of Port Washington, brother in laws Ken (Carol) Miller of Plymouth and James (Sue) Miller of Bisbee, AZ, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, his brother Jeffrey and his mother in law Marian Jamrosy. Funeral Monday evening, January 25, 6:30 PM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial Holy Trinity Cemetery, Newburg. In state at the CHURCH Monday from 3:30 – 6:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated.
