Elsie C. Deppiesse

Mrs. Elsie C. Deppiesse, age 96, a resident of Gables on the Pond in Random Lake, formerly of Fredonia, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Mequon.  Elsie was born on September 17, 1913 in the Town of Belgium, daughter of Albert Strauss and Catherine Pirrung Strauss.  On November 6, 1936 she married Elmer Wetor at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church.  Elmer preceded her in death in 1950.  On January 30, 1960 she married Everett Deppiesse at St. Rose Catholic Church in Fredonia.  He preceded her in death in 1981.  Elsie was a member of Holy Rosary Parish in Fredonia, the Christian Women and the Warren Kane American Legion Auxiliary Post in Fredonia.  She enjoyed playing cards and was an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan.  Survivors include her children Diane (Bill) Haskey of Fond du Lac, formerly of Fredonia and Allen (Suzanne) Wetor of West Bend.  She is further survived by 6 grandchildren; Lynn (Thomas) Horvatin of Elm Grove, Lisa (Kenneth) Pence of West Bend, Richard (Margie) Haskey of Franklin, Ann (Dan) Olstinske of New Berlin, Kris (Angie) Wetor of Hartford and Cheryl (John) Myers of Prairie du Chien, 16 great-grandchildren, 1 sister Sidonia Burmesch of Belgium, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  She is preceded in death by her two husbands, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 30th at 1 PM at Holy Rosary Parish – St. Rose Chapel in Fredonia with Father Dick Fleishmann officiating.  She will be laid to rest in St. Mary Parish Cemetery in Lake Church.  A Visitation will take place at the CHURCH on Monday the 30th from 11 AM until 1 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Rosemary School in Fredonia suggested.  The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington is assisting the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com
