In addition, she worked many years as a substitute teacher in local parochial schools and as a daycare worker. Kenneth preceded her in death on September 7, 1996. On March 24, 2008 she married Jerome H. Janty at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Random Lake. He preceded her in death on September 3, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister June Domoe, brother Oliver Torke, granddaughter Olivia Bowe, and many other relatives.

Beata volunteered in a variety of capacities in her church and community. Because of her interest in ecumenism, she led home-based Catholic-Protestant discussion groups. She was president of the Milwaukee Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women, was the first Roman Catholic to be elected as the state President of Church Women United, traveled on a Peace Mission to Northern Ireland, was a Lay Associate of the Racine Dominicans, and taught religious education classes for 18 years. She was a strong supporter of quality education and was elected to the Board of Education of the School District of Random Lake. Her travels took her from the Holy Land to Alaska to China. Beata had a great interest in genealogy and she produced and/or coordinated several family history books, videos, and family reunions. She served as a hospice volunteer for St. Nicholas Hospital and also spent countless hours as a volunteer at the Luxembourg American Cultural Society & Center.
